A leading diagnostics provider is seeking to recruit for the position of Nurse Aide. The ideal candidate must have Diploma or certificate in Nurse Aide. Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with personal care, which may include bathroom functions and dressing.
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.
  • Providing mobility assistance that may be required, for example helping the client in and out of a chair, wheeling wheelchair patients for examination and tests.
  • Transporting or escorting the client to examination rooms.
  • Monitoring the patients before, during and after procedures.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient’s vital signs where needed.
  • Tiding and organizing ultrasound room by ensuring the necessary consumables are available on a daily basis.
  • Preparing ultrasound patients for the exam.
  • Booking obstetric and special exams patients on a daily basis and document the bookings.
  • Actively engage clients through conversation and companionship.
  • Engage with clients in a manner that promotes their independence and maintains their dignity.
  • Report any unusual incidents or behaviour that may arise from patients.
  • Maintain a safe environment for clients.
  • Assists radiographers (where needed) in handling CT and XRAY patients.
  • Assists in ultrasound for exams such as Dopplers and act as a chaperone in some examination.
  • Verify that all patients are assigned and call to confirm bookings for the ones needing exams.
  • Ensure you call the client and remind them about the booking- The Previous day Before the appointment day.
  • Submit reports, interms of bookings, patient handling etc to the radiology manager.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.
Requirements
  • Certificate or Diploma in Nurse Aide from recognized institution.
  • Training in First Aid, Customer Care, or any other relevant course
  • At least two (1-2) years working experience in a busy hospital set-up as a nurse aide.
  • Any additional clinical training will be an added advantage
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Friendly personality and excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Strong ability to problem-solve.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop actionable business strategies, budget & plans for the HR department that ensure alignment with short-term & long-term business objectives.
  • Support implementation/ attainment of Scanlab’s strategic objectives.
  • Provide strategic advisory services to & prepare HR reports for the MD & board of directors.
  • Serve as an active member of the management team including scheduling of agenda-driven meetings, tracking progress of pending meeting action items, cascading of corporate strategy to respective units/ departments and to individual employee KPIs.
  • Automate fully HR processes including but not limited to:
    • Maintaining an employee database/ documentation that is 100% compliant with legal & accreditation requirements.
    • Leave application & approval.
    • Performance management system.
  • Ensure (in collaboration with relevant HODs) that employee recruitment, on-boarding, induction, performance management & exit processes fully comply with the company’s HR manual, HR best practices, legal requirements.
  • Ensure new recruits promptly undergo orientation processes including company orientation, department specific orientation, and basic customer service orientation.
  • Develop a strong performance management system including KPIs aligned to corporate & unit strategy & goals, identify training needs for teams & individuals, conducting talent gaps analysis & developing plans to upskill the organization in line with company strategy, championing company values, reward & recognition framework.
  • Develop a talented, dynamic, highly motivated & engaged workforce.
  • Build & drive a change oriented corporate culture of accountability & high performing teams.
  • Annually review HR documentation to ensure ongoing suitability e.g. HR manual, employee privacy policy, employee KPIs etc.
 

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in HR or related field and a Higher Diploma in HR management/ CHRP-K certification (mandatory).
  • Practicing member of the IHRM in good standing (mandatory).

ScanLab is seeking to recruit for the position of Sonographer. The ideal candidate MUST be registered with Kenya radiation protection board and have a valid 2023 practice license & have at least 2 years relevant working experience in a busy environment. Job Duties Include:
  • Perform a range of radiographic/sonographic examinations as requested according to the requirements of the referring physician, provide diagnostic radiographs, performs ultrasound and Doppler examinations by capturing images of diagnostic value.
  • To be able to communicate critical results to referring doctors.
  • Presenting the sonograms and preliminary findings to the Physicians.
  • Receiving of patients for various Radiological procedures and exercising a high degree of customer care by explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients and answering any questions they may have.
  • Book and documenting obstetric patients for their next appointments.
  • Maintaining the ultrasound equipment and maintaining the room in which the procedure takes place.
  • Monitoring and caring for patients to ensure their safety and comfort during the procedures.
  • Ensuring clear images for diagnostic purposes and making adjustments to the sonographic equipment when necessary.

A leading diagnostic center is looking for 1 laboratory technologists  for 3-4 months internship. The ideal candidate MUST be registered with KMLTTB and have a valid 2023 practice license & have at least 2 years bench & phlebotomy experience in a busy environment.   Duties and Responsibilities.
  • Ensuring that sample (patient/ IQC/ EQA) processing takes place in a timely and error free manner.
  • Specimen processing as per defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) and reporting of results within defined TAT.
  • Ensure STAT & Critical value reporting as per lab’s policy. Process and report urgent samples on priority
  • Storage of samples, controls and reagents to maintain their integrity.
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment as defined and maintain records. In case of instrument breakdown communicate with respective engineers/ application specialists and Lab Supervisor.
  • Ensure calibration and internal quality control is performed as defined in SOPs/ according to the ISO 15189 quality management system.
  • Maintain IQC records, Levy Jennings (LJ) charts and quality indicator records on monthly basis. Take corrective measures as required.
  • Ensuring receipt, processing, reporting & review of EQA surveys in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining and filing of documents & records according to ISO 15189 and KENAS requirements.
  • Strict adherence to bio-safety measures during specimen collection, laboratory procedures, disposing of, storing and transportation of specimens.
  • Assist in preparation and submitting of stock orders in time, keeping stock records and monitoring consumption. Minimize wastage of stock.
  • Participating in training/ refresher trainings to continuously improve technical knowledge.
  • Doing walk-in client/ office/ home/ Clinical Trial/ medical camp & Health Check Up Blood Collection
  Qualifications.
  • Diploma / higher national diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Medical laboratory sciences.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a lab technologist/ medical lab officer.
  • Good IT skills (including experience with an automated lab information system), working knowledge of ISO 15189 standard, experience with COVID 19 sample collection will be added advantages.

A leading diagnostics provider glad to introduce permanent and temporary internship/attachment program that is designed for individuals who are looking to work in a dynamic medical facility. This is a structured program that provides work experience/ exposure for a specific period of time. It is a temporary position also allows young people the opportunity to consolidate and translate the skills learned from their training into job experience. Requirements
  1. A letter from university/college confirming current enrollment, completion letter or certificate.
  2. Indexing/ registration or current license by RPB (if available)
  3. Diploma in medical imaging sciences, Higher National Diploma in medical imaging sciences or degree in medical imaging sciences as prescribed in Radiation Protection Act CAP 243.
  4. Registration certificate from society of radiography in Kenya (SORK), if available.
  5. Evidence of a medical cover and a good medical health.
  6. A completed internship application form.
  7. A recent passport size photo.
  8. A copy of national identity card.
  Eligibility. The internship/attachment program is open to: (i) Unemployed Kenyan graduates from training institutions who have completed their degree/ diploma courses and have not been exposed to work experience related to their area of study.
